HKIX/Network Maintenance Notification
A notification from Hong Kong Internet eXchange (HKIX), stated that they will perform major OS upgrades for their switches and route servers on 24 Jul, 2011. Websites and email services connecting with HKIX's switches would be affected during the above time frame. During the upgrade, all HKIX participants’ would be affected. Websites and email services users might detect disconnection or link up/down intermittently during this period. The upgrade will take 30 minutes and require a reboot of the switch. All services would retrieve normal after the system is upgraded. Remarks: Hong Kong Internet eXchange (HKIX) is a layer-two settlement-free multi-lateral exchange point. All of the HKIX participants can be benefited because significant amount of precious International link bandwidth can be saved.
